ForeSight is a new way to think about chart projection systems. It combines technology and over 30 years in ophthalmic experience to bring your acuity test into the 21st Century.

What is ForeSight?

ForeSight is a software suite that transforms your office computer into a powerful yet easy to use chart projector.

Why ForeSight?

In short, ForeSight is faster, more powerful, and more accurate than any other VA software suite on the market.

Many of our competitors use infrared remote controls that contain more than 200 buttons and are loaded with features that you can never find. ForeSight takes all of those features and combines them into an interface that is simple, intuitive, and adaptable to suit your practice needs.

ForeSight differs from other acuity software. It was developed to run on any operating system and under any system configuration, this is possible by using as few resources as possible. Many of our competitors use bitmap images for different optotype.

Bitmap size vs. Vector size

This is wrong for many reasons.

First, each bitmap, when displayed, will consume a significant portion of the computer's available memory. This means every time you change a slide, even the fastest computers will have a half-second delay. Additionally, other programs will not be able to use the memory that is being squandered to merely display images.

ForeSight's Vector Optotype reduces the memory consumption by 98%, there is no delay when changing slides, and other programs such as EMR (Electronic Medical Records) can use this memory.

Bitmap degrading as it is enlarged

Second, at higher resolutions these bitmap images degrade in quality, specifically at the edges. With this degradation, it becomes impossible to accurately measure a patient's acuity.

ForeSight's Vector Optotype is crisp at any resolution, which means your acuity examination will increase in accuracy as the resolution increases. We recommend a minimum resolution of 800x600, however ForeSight is accurate from the ranges of 640x480 (VGA) all the way beyond 2560x2048 (QSXGA).

We encourage you to get out your older systems and try ForeSight. You may find you already have a system capable of running our software.

What are the Controls?
ForeSight can be controlled in many ways, to ensure that you find one that fits the pace of your practice. It can be controlled with an onscreen graphic remote (seen here), the ForeSight-RF smart phone application, by using keyboard commands, or with the revolutionary ForeSight-USB remote control. The ForeSight-USB remote is sold as a companion to the ForeSight-RF smart phone application.

Who can use ForeSight?
Eventually, every optometrist or ophthalmologist will be using ForeSight. The current release requires a computer running Windows XP SP2 or newer, and Open GL 2.0 or greater. The Mac version works on any Macintosh computer running Mac OS X v10.5 or greater (Intel Only).
